EASTERN, SOUTH DAKOTA - A cold front that is bring us back to reality has also brought some precipitation to eastern half of the state for today. With much colder temperatures today, some of this precipitation is falling as the form of rain, freezing rain and light snow. The National Weather Service in Aberdeen, South Dakota has placed counties in northeast, South Dakota under a Winter Weather Advisory for this morning.
Snow amounts look to remain light, mainly under two inches near US Highway 281. Snow amounts will be even lighter, mainly under one inch near Interstate 29, but ice accumulations up to a quarter of inch are possible.
