Winter Storm Warnings Increase

SOUTHWEST, SOUTH DAKOTA - Winter Storm Warnings that start tonight and go into Wednesday have expanded from the central and southern Black Hills to now covering more counties in southwest, South Dakota.

Snow will start to spread across the southwest region of the state later on tonight and continue into Wednesday.  The heaviest snowfall is forecast to be south of Interstate 90 and into the communities of Kadoka, Martin, Pine Ridge and up into Hot Springs, Custer and Hill City.  Total snowfall amounts of four to eight inches are expected with some isolated higher amounts cannot be ruled out.
