On Thursday, the Rapid City Fire Department posted this image on Facebook showing fire recruits doing "winter operations" outside the fire station. The city received 2.7 inches of snow breaking the old daily record of 0.8 inches of snow. The temperatures only reached 27 degrees which was 34 degrees below normal.
