Winter May Start Early

A strong storm system is forecast to impact the state by mid-week into the last part of the work week.  Accumulating snow, gusty winds and well below normal temperatures are expected filter into the western, South Dakota on Wednesday.  This wintry weather is forecast to move east through Thursday and Friday bring the risk for accumulating snow to those areas.

At this time, we feel that some places in western, South Dakota may see over six inches of snow by Thursday morning and increase chances for snows across the north by Thursday into Friday.

There is becoming a growing concern about the impacts of the storm system and motorists.  Please keep checking back for the latest forecasts.
