Highways in western, South Dakota are becoming treacherous according to the Butte County Sheriff's Office. The agency took this picture of State Highway 79 and State Highway 168 showing winter has return once again.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office stated that State Highway 79 north of Newell is treacherous but state and local plows are out.
According to the South Dakota Department of Transportation, the roads in northwest and west-central, South Dakota are wet with scattered slippery spots.
Near Deadwood and Lead, US Highway 385 is seeing scattered slush and motorist are warned to reduce their speed.
