SOUTH DAKOTAS WEATHER IS ALWAYS ON OUR RADAR

SOUTH DAKOTA - Powerful northwest winds, as high as 93mph, have been causing havoc on area roadways. Law enforcement and other emergency personnel have been called to several high profile vehicles blown right off the highways.

This semi rollover crash occurred this morning along US Highway 12 west of Mobridge.  The Corson County Sheriff's Office posted this image on their Facebook page and recommended motorists with high profile vehicles to stay off the roads today.

The same could be said in western South Dakota along Interstate 90. The South Dakota Highway Patrol has been busy responding to many vehicles blown over by strong crosswinds. The agency posted these pictures on their Facebook page of accidents between Vivan to Rapid City.

High Wind Warnings and Blizzard Warnings will remain in effect through tonight and into Friday as gust from 50 to 70mph are still expected.
