Storms on Tuesday brought strong winds, heavy rains and isolated hail to the western half of the state. The strongest winds were reported about 3 miles northwest of Union Center with a gust of 59mph.
Hail was not very large with only nickel size (0.88") only reported about 8 miles northeast of Belvidere and 2 miles northwest of Saint Onge.
Besides the wind and hail, many locations received about a half of an inch to over an inch of rain. An inch and quarter was reported northwest of Wall and just under that amount northwest of Kadoka.
