Yesterday a front pushed across the area bring some light snow and light freezing rain to eastern, South Dakota. This has set the stage for mostly sunny skies in the morning, but it will not last. Clouds will start to push back into the region as a wave of energy moves closer. Along with these clouds, areas of light snow or light freezing rain is possible mainly across north-central and eastern regions of South Dakota.
Accumulating amounts from light snow or light freezing rain will be light with the best risk for accumulating ice will be in the northeast where up to 0.04 of an inch is possible.
