This week, Watertown officials continue their preparation for any flooding that may occur within the city. According to city's public information officer, a construction company from Minnesota was brought in to put together Hesco Baskets on Kampeska Boulevard. City workers from the Utilities Department worked throughout the day on Monday putting up the same baskets along with sandbags on Fish Road.
Watertown officials warn motorist that Kampeska Boulevard in town remains closed from 4th Avenue South to Kemp Avenue for all vehicle traffic.
If you need sandbags for your property, government personnel have placed the sandbags at the Codington County Jail and those bags can be filled at the Watertown City Street Department, Outdoor Swimming Poop and Lake Kampeska Sailboat Landing.
