A significant and powerful winter storm remains on track to impact South Dakota starting as soon as Tuesday night continuing through Friday. Winter Storm Watches have been placed by the National Weather Service for much of the state.
At this time, moderate to high confidence that a winter storms will impact the region and cause major issues as well as travel issues. Significant amounts of snow are expected along with strong winds up to 50mph possible.
Currently the highest snowfall totals look to be across southeast, South Dakota where some locations may see over a foot of heavy wet snows.
