NORTHEAST, SOUTH DAKOTA - The Storm Prediction Center has placed the northeast region of the state under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until midnight.

Thunderstorms are forecast to develop over North Dakota and move towards the southeast by this evening and into the overnight hours.  The highest threat with these storms will be large hail, but damaging winds and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
