SOUTH DAKOTAS WEATHER IS ALWAYS ON OUR RADAR

Warnings Up for Storm

Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for the first wave of storm to impact the state.

Starting with the southwest, Winter Weather Advisories are in effect starting at 3:00am CST Tuesday morning and remains in effect until 6:00pm CST Tuesday evening.  Snow amounts of two to four inches is expected with the highest amount near the South Dakota and Nebraska boarder.

Towards the east across south-central and southeast, South Dakota; Winter Storm Warnings are in effect starting Tuesday morning for south-central, South Dakota and around noon in the southeast.  Snow amounts of four to eight inches with higher amounts towards the Vermillion and Yankton regions.

Up in east-central and northeast, South Dakota; the National Weather Service has placed a Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.  Snow amounts of two to five inches with higher amounts towards Deuel County where a Winter Storm Warning is in effect.
