NORTHEAST, SOUTH DAKOTA - Aberdeen National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes that went through the Deuel County area late Thursday night.
The first tornado occurred about six miles west of Clear Lake along SD Highway 22. This was a short live tornado as it only stayed on the ground for about 0.1 of mile. The maximum winds in the twister was 85mph with a width of 20 yards.
The second tornado caused damage to this hog barn northwest of Clear Lake. The tornado was given a rating of an EF-1 tornado with 100mph winds. The tornado's width 40 yards and only traveled about a quarter of mile.
