Turner County Sheriff's Office warns motorists not to enter flooded roads. The agency posted on their Facebook page alerting the public they had responded to another vehicle submerged in the water after a driver violated the road closed barricades. The vehicle entered into the flooded road which resulted the vehicle being submerged up the hood of the vehicle.
Over the past week, the department has handed three other water rescues, several accidents and motorist assist because of violators going around the road closed signs.
Many roadways in the southern half of Tuner County remain closed, including State Highway 19A.
The Turner County Sheriff's Office advised the signs are up for your safe and going around a barricade could create a dangerous situation for yourself and responders and also result in fines.
