Tripp County Sees Tornado

SOUTH-CENTRAL, SOUTH DAKOTA - A severe thunderstorm moving across Tripp County Tuesday evening became tornado warn shortly after 6:30pm CDT.

A tornado was reported on the ground about three miles northeast of Witten in west-central, Tripp County.

As the storm continued tracking southeast, heading for Winner and the Colome areas, another tornado report came in at 6:39pm about four miles southwest of Winner.

Once the storm got near the Nebraska and South Dakota, a tornado was observed on the ground about three miles north of Wewela.

At this time, the size of the tornado has not been released from the National Weather Service storm damage survey.
