Tennis Ball Hail near Martin

SOUTHWEST, SOUTH DAKOTA - A supercell thunderstorm the rolled across southwest, South Dakota on Thursday evening brought hail from the size of quarters (1.00") to the size of tennis balls (2.50").  A storm chaser about six miles northeast of Martin reported tennis ball hail falling from the storm.

Up towards the north, a trained weather spotter reported quarter size in Potato Creek and about five miles south of Potato Creek.
