Last Sunday, isolated strong and rotating thunderstorms developed over south-central, South Dakota dropping one confirmed tornado near Lucas, South Dakota.
The damage survey team from the National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls went to the scene and found damage to some trees along a shelter belt. Luckily no injuries or damage to buildings occurred.
The peak wind gust from this tornado was 74mph giving a rating of an EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita scale.
Beside this tornado, the thunderstorm brought golf ball size (1.75") and some heavy rains.
