Thunderstorms have popped up across South Dakota and some have been severe. Already today large hail has been reported over the Black Hills and strong gusty winds up to 60mph has been reported in central, South Dakota.
Earlier this afternoon, a few severe thunderstorms brought hail to northern and central regions of the hills. In Deadwood, cars and windows were damaged as a thunderstorm brought golf ball size (1.75"). Down towards the south just outside of Piedmont, hail to the size of quarters fell from a storm.
Our friends in North Dakota are not sitting out on the severe weather. The town of Gwinner or northeast of Aberdeen, had a funnel cloud observed from a storm.
