SOUTH DAKOTAS WEATHER IS ALWAYS ON OUR RADAR

SOUTH DAKOTA - This storm system is forecast to bring rains, thunderstorms and snows today and into the overnight hours.  The eastern and central half of the state will see continued chances of rain on Wednesday as well.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for the Black Hills where five to ten inches of snow is expected with some isolated higher amounts.  In the southwest, highly variable snow amounts pending on when rain changes over to snow later on this evening.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for a couple of counties where the area may see one to four inches by Wednesday morning.

Shifting to the other side of the state, showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more likely as the day goes on.  In the far southeast corner of the state, an isolated strong to severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.  The main threat with those storms will be hail.
