SOUTH DAKOTAS WEATHER IS ALWAYS ON OUR RADAR

SOUTH DAKOTA - Winter weather alerts are in effect for the southern and eastern half of the state as snow is expected to develop later on today.

Snow and rain will start to form over southwest, South Dakota this morning and then overspread west-central and south-central by this afternoon.

By this evening, rain and snow are possible across east-central, southeast and into northwest and central regions of the state.  Rain is expected to change over to all snow by tonight and continued the chances through early Sunday morning.

Snow amounts of five to eight inches are expected across the northern Black Hills.  A general one to three inches is forecast from US Highway 212 and south.  Pockets of three to six inches are possible along Interstate 90 from Wall towards Kadoka and into the Murdo and Winner area.  Another pocket of three to six inches are possible from the Madison to Sioux Falls and back up towards Pipestone, Minnesota area.
