SOUTH DAKOTA - A cold front, clipper system, will continue to push across the region bring a chance of rain and snow to the area. The rain should completely change over to snow by tonight. Heavy snow is expected in the northern Black Hills where a Winter Storm Warning is in effect.
Snow chances are expected to spread eastward during the overnight hours and into Monday.
The heaviest snowfall amounts will be across the northern Black Hills were total storm accumulations of four to eight inches is expected. Amount get lighter across the northern foot hills and into central Black Hills where one to four inches is in the forecast.
Once you get out into the plains of northwest, South Dakota, snowfall amounts look to remain under two inches and in the southwest and into eastern, South Dakota under one inch.
After this system moves through the area, temperatures are forecast to remain above normal.
