A strong low pressure system is forecast to bring snows to eastern, South Dakota and very strong winds statewide, starting on Friday and continuing into the weekend.
First lets talk about the precipitation and snows. Friday morning, areas of drizzle or freeze drizzle will be possible across eastern, South Dakota. The bulk of the precipitation then will move out of Nebraska and spread northward. Major of the precipitation will be in the form as snow, but you cannot rule out some mixture or freezing rain at first. The snow will continue its track northeast moving across eastern, South Dakota throughout the day. Snow chances will start to come to an end by Saturday morning as cold air moves into the region.
