Snow Impacts Travel

WESTERN AND CENTRAL, SOUTH DAKOTA - Snow has been coming down at a good clip across north-central and western, South Dakota last night.  Deerfield in Pennington County so far has received 11 inches of snow and continues to snow this morning.  Rapid City has received around 7 inches of snow and Custer around 5 to 6 inches of snow.

The authorities in Pennington County are advising no travel and county offices have shut down because of the snow.  Road reports this morning were mostly snow covered and very slippery for motorist.
