Redfield Sees Two Twisters

NORTHEAST, SOUTH DAKOTA - The weather service in Aberdeen reports that in and near the city of Redfield saw two tornadoes Thursday night.

The first tornado that went through part of the city was the strongest with winds of 100mph, give it a rating of an EF-1.  The tornado remained on the ground for just over two miles and had a maximum width of 40 yards.

The second tornado was east of town and weaker than the first.  Winds in this tornado were about 85mph with a rating of an EF-0.  This tornado was on the ground for a little over one mile before going back into the storm.
