SOUTH DAKOTA - East Rapid City on Tuesday saw a record high temperature of 70 degrees. The old record from 1939 was easily broken by four degrees. The area also saw its warmest low temperature of 45 degrees, breaking its old record of 41 set in 2017.
Aberdeen's record from 126 years ago was broken with a high temperature on Tuesday at 62 degrees. The city old record from 1894 of 57 degrees was blown by with record heat in the area.
Today temperatures will remain well above average, but cooler weather comes for Thursday and the rest of the week.
