SOUTHEAST, SOUTH DAKOTA - Authorities in Lincoln County reported a number of trees, powers lines and damage near the Lennox area during yesterday's storms.
Yesterday, the sheriff's office in Lincoln County reported Interstate 29 was shut down between the Lennox and Worthing exit as a semi was blown onto it's side.
Powerful winds in Lennox caused many trees to blow over and one almost hitting a house.
In other places, strong winds caused damaged and even blow out part of building, spreading debris everywhere.
Wind damage also occurred in the Harrisburg and in the southeast end of Sioux Falls where trees were knocked to the ground from thunderstorm wind gust. After these storms moved out of the area, another round of severe thunderstorms redevelop bring large hail, some as the size of golf balls (1.75") and very heavy rain.
