Over 3,000 Without Power

Besides snow and blizzard conditions, the southeast region of the state is seeing freezing rain causing all kinds of problems.  The Moody County Sheriff's Office shared this image on Facebook and advised several reports have came into the agency of power poles down.  They warn the public to be careful as some of the power lines may still be charged.

According to the South Dakota Rural Electric Association, over 3,000 cooperative members in 18 counties are out of power.

The highest impact areas are into Minnehaha and Lake counties in southeast, South Dakota.  Below are the number of members out of power as of 10:00pm CDT...
