WEST-CENTRAL, SOUTH DAKOTA - The South Dakota Department of Transportation has advised no travel for the northern Black Hills to include Interstate 90 west of Rapid City.
At 6:30pm MST, the agency reported along Interstate 90 around the Spearfish and Sturgis areas, visibilities were reduce to an eighth of mile and the highway was snow covered and slippery.
Down in the Rapid City area of Interstate 90, the highway remained snow covered and slippery. Conditions then improved by the Kadoka region where the Interstate was mostly wet with a few scattered slippery spots near Wall.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the area until 11:00pm MST tonight for the northern Black Hills which includes Lead and Deadwood.
