SOUTHWEST, SOUTH DAKOTA - Winter Storm Watches are posted for southwest, South Dakota and into the Black Hills ahead of another winter storm forecast to impact the area this weekend.

Snow will start to develop over the region by Saturday morning and continue into Sunday morning.  The heaviest snow appears to fall by Saturday night with snowfall totals over five inches expected at this time.

Those in the northern Black Hills may see enhancement from upslope snows with the potential of a foot of snow possible!

Besides snow chances, northerly winds are forecast to increase, creating some areas of blowing and drifting snow by Saturday night into Sunday.
