SOUTH DAKOTA - Today snow will continue to develop and slowly spread from west to east throughout the day.  The light to moderate snow then will persist throughout the overnight hours and in Sunday before coming to an end by Sunday afternoon.  Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for much of the state, besides the far northeast corner of the state.

Winds behind the storm system are forecast to come out of the north tonight and with already cold temperatures, wind chill values by Sunday night can drop to 20 degrees below zero.
