A storm system and cold front will bring light precipitation to the region today and into tonight and early Thursday morning. Late this morning, areas of light drizzle or freezing drizzle will develop over northwest, South Dakota with light snow developing over far western, South Dakota later on. The east may see light rain or light drizzle under cloudy skies. Temperatures are forecast to be from the lower 30s to the mid 50s, with the warmest temperatures across the southeast.
Tonight, skies will be cloudy, and conditions will become windy. Light snow chances remain for the west during the evening hours coming to an end later in the night. The east will see light rain changing over to light snow becoming coming to an end by early Thursday morning. Overnight lows will be from the upper teens across the west to near 30 degrees for the east.
Besides a few light snow showers early Thursday, conditions look to remain dry through the rest of the workweek and into the weekend.
