South Dakota’s Weather is Always on Our Radar

June 7’s Storm Reports

The end of the work week brought some severe storms with large hail and gusty winds to the Black Hills and across northwest, South Dakota.  The largest hail was reported in Prairie City in Perkins County with hail to the size of ping pong balls or 1.50".  Other hail to the size of quarters were reported in Lawrence and Harding Counties.

The risk for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms moves to the eastern half of the state as the cold front continues to move eastward.
