On June 15th, 2019, strong thunderstorms over eastern, South Dakota brought this brief 45 second tornado. The tornado dropped about five and half miles northeast of Estelline, South Dakota tossing several trees and doing damage to one building.
The peak winds in the tornado was 75mph giving the twister a rating of an EF-0.
This type of tornado was also very rare for the region being called a anticyclonic tornado. An anticyclonic tornado means the tornado rotates in a clockwise direction with most tornadoes in the northern hemisphere rotate in a counter clockwise direction.
