SOUTH DAKOTA - Across the state, first responders were kept busy with vehicle accidents as many highways and streets became slippery and hazardous to travel on.  Yesterday evening, the Pennington County Sheriff's Office advised no travel as county plows were pulled off the highways.

The story was much the same in eastern, South Dakota last night.  Lincoln County sheriff's deputies as well as other first responders were called to this injury accident involving a semi and another vehicle on Interstate 29 near the Lennox exit.

Snow continues to slowly move out of the state today, but additional one to three inches are still possible.  State and local highway crews have started their battle on keeping the roads safe.  This image below is from the Minnehaha County Highway Department showing crews heading out this morning.
