The State of South Dakota has opened Interstate 90 and Interstate 29 in South Dakota but travel is not advised in east-central and northeast, South Dakota.
Across central and eastern, South Dakota, first responders were dispatched to a number of vehicle crashes and vehicles stuck on the road. The image above from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office shows one vehicle hitting a snow drift west of Harrisburg.
At 4:30pm CST, the South Dakota Highway Patrol shared this image of State Highway 19 north of Parker showing reduce visibility and iced covered roads. The agency is asking people to make sure to use your headlights, slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
