WEST-CENTRAL, SOUTH DAKOTA - During Monday afternoon, Interstate 90 at Sturgis was shut down for a major crash.
First responders from the Sturgis area were called to Interstate 90 for multivehicle accident at Exit 30 before 2pm MST, Monday. According to the Meade County Emergency Management, five tractor trailers, one delivery truck, three pick-up trucks and three cars were involved in the crash.
The responding agencies to the crash were... Meade County Emergency Management, Meade County Sheriff's Office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, South Dakota Department of Transportation, Sturgis Ambulance, Sturgis Fire Department and Sturgis Police Department.
The South Dakota DENR was also dispatched to the scene for fuel and engine fluid spills.
