WEST-CENTRAL, SOUTH DAKOTA - Winter Storm Warnings are in effect starting at 6:00am MDT, Tuesday morning and continuing into Tuesday night.  Snow amounts of six inches or greater are possible with the best chance of significant snow for those above 4,000 feet.

Heavy, wet snow is in the forecast to start across the Black Hills Tuesday morning and continue through the day into the evening hours.  By Tuesday night, the snow is forecast to come to an end.

Snow is also possible across the foothills and plains on Tuesday and into Wednesday, but snowfall amounts at this time are not confident enough because of warm temperatures.
