SOUTHEAST, SOUTH DAKOTA - A very strong storm system that brought severe weather south and east of us also brought heavy rain, strong winds and even a little bit of snow on Saturday.
As the storm system started to push precipitation over the southeast, the intensity continued to increase. Some locations like Vermillion and Sioux Falls received over an inch and half or rain. Below are radar images throughout the afternoon.
At one point, temperatures got cold enough to support some isolated snow accumulations. This image above from the South Dakota Department of Transportation shows snow along Interstate 29 and in fields outside Beresford, or south of Sioux Falls.
