Hail and Heavy Rains

WESTERN, SOUTH DAKOTA - A line of strong thunderstorms came across the Montana/Wyoming and South Dakota border yesterday evening, bring heavy rains and large hail to some locations.

The city of Belle Fourche saw the largest hail with 1.50 inch in diameter or the size of ping pong balls.  Besides the hail, the city also saw rain amounts up to three inches causing the weather service to issue a Flash Flood Warning.

These storms then continued their track across the state bring rain to other locations in the state.  Below are the official rainfall amounts before 7:00am CDT this morning.
