SOUTH DAKOTA - Below normal temperatures have started to push southward right across South Dakota. Temperatures are forecast to drop into the lower 30s to the upper 20s by Friday morning.
These sub-freezing temperatures will impact any sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor plumbing if precautions are not taken.
This is the time now to take steps to protect sensitive vegetation by bring them indoors or covering them. To prevent outdoor plumbing such as sprinklers from freezing or bursting, you should drain them and covering above ground pipes.
