Temperatures into the 30s yesterday, snow across the region began to melt. As temperatures started to cool off for the overnight hours, fog started to develop across the east. The fog was dense at a time dropping to less than a mile. Around the 8:00 pm CST, Brookings Airport reported a visibility of a half-mile. As the night continued, the visibility improved sitting at 1.25 miles as of 6:00 am CST.
Up north in Watertown, the visibility dropped to a quarter of a mile at around 9:00 pm CST but greatly improved to 3 miles at 6:00 am this morning.
