WESTERN, SD - Thunderstorms are forecast to develop by Wednesday afternoon or evening across much of western, South Dakota. Some of these storms may produce some very heavy rainfall in small amount of time. One to three inches of rain is possible with these storm, causing the National Weather Service to issue a Flash Flood Watch for the Black Hills.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rains over the watch area. This can cause flash flooding along river, creeks, canyons and low areas. If you are in the watch area, please remain weather aware be ready to move quickly to higher ground if a warning is issued.
