South Dakota’s Weather is Always on Our Radar

Few Changes to Snowfall Forecast

New data that has came in about the storm system has changed some of the snowfall forecast.  The first noticeable change is over southeast, South Dakota.  This area remains a battle ground between rain, freezing rain and snow.  We have back off the numbers for Sioux Falls to 3 to 5 inches and also in the Yankton area.

The data is still showing heavy snows across east-central and south-central, South Dakota where 18 to 25 inches of snow is possible.

Some snowfall totals across northwest, South Dakota have seen an increase with Buffalo forecast for 6 to 10 inches of snow.
