An isolated severe thunderstorm over east-central, South Dakota caused some issues in Huron. Strong thunderstorm winds of 76mph was reported one mile northwest of Huron which broke several trees limbs and downed a few trees throughout town.
The same thunderstorm damaged several 6 to 12 inch diameter limbs north of Wolsey and brought nickel to quarter size hail southwest of Hitchcock.
In Spink County the rain and wind was so hard, visibility was down to zero about 2 miles south of Tulare. Winds were estimated to be up to 60 to 70mph.
Back in Hand County, the thunderstorm brought down several small tree branches and dropped nickel size hail about 3 mile southeast of Burdette.
After this thunderstorm moved southeast of Huron, the storm started to weaken and dropped below severe limits.
