A poor start to the weekend is what those in western, South Dakota are observing in their weather. Cloudy, foggy and rainy weather continues this morning. The Rapid City Airport has reported 0.13 inches of rain since midnight and has a temperature of 47 degrees.
Custer has already received about a third of an inch of rain so far this morning with an air temperature at 9:00 am at 40 degrees.
Forecast for the area is calling for cloudy skies with an occasional shower through the mid-afternoon with temperatures into the lower 50s to upper 40s. By tonight, an isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible with temperatures dropping to around 50 degrees.
By Sunday, more chances of showers before noon with warmer temperatures into the 70s. Thunderstorms become more likely by Sunday night as a storm system and cold front move into the region.
