Cold wind chills return to the state with readings dropping into the 20s and even 30s below zero. The National Weather Service has placed northwest, South Dakota under a Wind Chill Advisory until noon while north-central and northeast, South Dakota will go into effect by mid morning and continue in Thursday.
Use caution while outdoors and wear appropriate clothing, hat and gloves. Frostbite can occur in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin.
