Wind gust over 60mph and wintry weather has caused many issues in South Dakota. Interstate 90 has been shutdown from Wyoming to Chamberlain and many highways are completely blocked. At 9:00pm CDT, Rapid City was reporting a wind gust of 63mph. Not too far behind was Pierre with a 51mph, Philip and Pine Ridge with a 44mph gust and Faith and Mobridge at 43mph wind gust.
Besides issues on the road, power outages have occurred. According to the South Dakota Rural Electric Association at 9:30pm CDT, 136 customers in Perkins County and 174 customers in Meade County were out of power. Some other reports have came in Harding County with 97 customers out of power and 33 customers in Spink County.
